This Spring 2025 semester, the Band actively supported the Crimson athletic teams across hockey, basketball, and lacrosse. Notable events included performances at TD Garden for the Men’s Beanpot tournament, the Women’s Basketball Pride Game against Dartmouth, and the crucial Women’s Lacrosse game against Penn, which secured their advancement to the Ivy Championship contention.
Beyond athletic events at Soldier’s Field, the Band contributed to the campus atmosphere. We performed at the Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year Parade honoring Cynthia Erivo (who said the Band sounded amazing that day, by the way), serenaded unsuspecting couples on Valentine’s Day with love songs, and created an electrifying vibe at the Polar Plunge for the Special Olympics (with both our music and some icy splashes of our own).
Community building was also a vital focus for the Band this spring. We hosted the New Bandie Appreciation Brunch with delicious food and paper plate awards, organized group outings into thrift markets and parks in the Boston area, and reinstated longrunning traditions like weekly movie nights and full moon gatherings of mischief and deceit. At every step, the Band found itself laughing together, building unwavering bonds, and feeling uplifted together.
As the semester concludes and Visitas approaches, we’re excited to meet newly admitted students. The Band continues to reflect on its commitment to our rich legacy and history, ensuring future students have the access and opportunity to these enriching experiences.
